19 of the Russian's twenty-one titles have been achieved on hard surfaces
A revitalized the Russian player claimed his initial title for nearly 30 months with success over Corentin Moutet in the tournament final.
The Russian, a former world number one, has endured a torrid period, achieving just one match at the Grand Slams and experiencing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his serving in particular - resulted in him dropping out of the top ten and eventually splitting with long-time trainer Cervara.
Presently collaborating with Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually progressed in the recent weeks - climaxing in a tightly fought three-set victory over opponent Moutet.
This represents the player's maiden championship following the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard court from that period of 2023.
The win also indicates he has achieved twenty-one titles at 21 various tournaments.
"It's the first time I'm at a event with my both daughters at once, so to get a title is really nice," commented world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in dedication of my younger daughter her name, because the initial championship I got when my child my daughter was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had been defeated in his last six finals, including in Halle earlier this year.
Medvedev's defensive play style and regular outbursts on court had led commentators to doubt if his skill to play at the elite level was concluded.
Yet the 29-year-old has made changes in the last few weeks, striving to come to the net and compete assertively, reinforced by an better service.
Medvedev recovered from a disadvantage in the opening set against the difficult Moutet, taking four of the last five games to gain the advantage.
The pair swapped break points in the second set before Moutet, bidding for his first tour victory, took control to force a third set.
Moutet saved four early-game opportunities in a close deciding set before the champion broke to 15 to serve for the match.
Appropriately, Medvedev clinched victory with a point at the net, with his opponent failing to control a return after over two and a half hours.
